CBid is Satan. My parents, friends, and a neighborhood militia had to kidnap and de-program me, over a 6 month period. Then I had to have some hardware installed that would cause me to receive a strong electrical shock when I clicked my mouse on any CBid link. I was shocked twice writing this post.

heh - nice list newfie. I agree w/BPP on the macs. K7 is deadon with the Oliva maduros - very nice smoke. The RPs are good. You might want to see about Gran Habano - the red label is my preference - from there they get milder (two more). And, you cannot go wrong with the El Rey de Mundo oscuro - any length really, though I prefer robusto.

    Thanks Basil and WOXOF.

No worries about me & C-Bid. As enticing as the pricing and selection is, if I buy on-line from anywhere and I get tagged for tobacco duties and taxes, I may as well just go to a local B&M and buy something from ISOM. They really nail us here in the frozen north with smoke taxes.

Only think now is my shopping list has more than doubled!! Now if I could only get work to send me to Richmond, or Joisey, or Baton Rouge (we have offices and plants all over) I could really do some serious shopping!!!

    PS:

I hate friggin' borders and taxes.

Newfie, here is a list of cigars by country that I think you would enjoy. They are all reasonably priced cigars when bought by the box and from the right source. You can also by all of these in some form of 5 packs or samplers I believe.

    Dominican Republic:

Arturo Fuente 858 in Natural ( cameroon wrapper) and Maduro ( Conneticutt Broad Leaf)

    Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature

    Arturo Fuente Don Carlos robusto

    Nicaragua:

Padron 3000 or Ambassador in maduro

    Joya De Nicaragua Antano churchill

    Tatuaje Especiales

    Honduras:

El Rey Del Mundo Rectangulars in maduro and Flor De Llaneza in natural

Jr Ultimate Cetros and Toros in double maduro

Your list and all the suggested additions look pretty good. I also agree that you should try as many different brands and sizes as a comparison. One persons dog rocket is anothers favorite smoke. I also agree that the infused cigars such as Acid should be avoided but who knows you may like them. Read what these guys say about cigars and you will get some good clues as to good smokes. Their post about Padrons got me to try them and now I smoke a 3000 every day with my first cup of coffee. Great way to start off the day with a cup of real coffee (not the canned stuff but whole bean) and a Padron. Although these guys may not think alot of them I also smoke a Roly #2 Maduro daily and a Fuente Curly Head.
I might suggest you try Montecristo Platinum, CAO Criollo, Trinidad, and Cuesta Rey if they are not already on your list.
