illilli, I don't even remember what I sent (gotta learn to track this stuff) so I'll trust you'll let me know if what I sent isn't sufficient and I'll make it up, plus some!!
Newfie, did you send sticks that had an MSRP lower than $4?? If you did, then I'll definitely send you a PM letting you know. I have already planned for such an event, so it will not be a problem. I believe in things running smoothly and I can almost 100% guarantee that they will, no matter what. There will be 4 people who will win a LOT (as in 8-cigar-lot) of cigars that meet or exceed the game's stated parameters.

Noone here is a cheapskate. Anyway, you are a newbie, so you will look good if you successfully get your cigars to me; that's the only measure you have to meet (and the $4 MSRP).

Yes, they were more than $4 (actual at a B&M in Detroit, not MSRP). But no, I don't remember what I sent!!

They were mailed to you last week (April 04th) and they say even though I expedited it, it takes 7-9 days. I was kinda hoping it would make it to you today (the Monday mail is usually the busiest of the week).

    God Damned postal service!!!

I know I met the criteria....just don't feel right, with what I've seen.

    Illi,

You should have them by now. They were sent out UPS second day air on the 4th. Either way eight or two, I'm just greatful you let me play.

    Thanks again

    Illi,

Here is a little something for you new guys. How I conduct myself that hasn't let me down yet.

If you meet the guidelines and the spirit of the contest and you sent sticks you truly enjoy you shouldn't feel compelled to beat yourself up over your choices because some folks sent higher dollar cigars. Cigars are about relaxing and enjoying our fellowship with fellow BOTLs and not a competition. I sent 2 $4 to $5 range cigars, but they are cigars I truly enjoy and smoke on a regular basis and not some junk I needed to unload. If you came to my house right now I have several of each in my humi. Sometimes bombs and such consist of special items, Secret Santa and fullfilling a wish from the wishlist are good examples, but folks normally send out what they enjoy in hopes a fellow BOTL will get the same enjoyment. Some folks only have super primo high dollar sticks and isoms, some folks have middle of the road sticks. There are even respected BOTLs out there who prefer $25/bundle of 25 cigars. If you are being fair and honest with your fellow BOTLs, take care of your obligations in a timely manner, and not using them as a dumping ground for sticks you just want to be rid of, don't sweat it.

Just don't be sitting on 3 coolers slap full of super rare, super primo sticks and every bomb or contest you run or enter you send out Swishers and Backwoods. If you do you should feel like a slimy little cheapskate.

Well said Shag. The most important thing is to interact with fellow BOTL's and have fun. Don't sweat it.

There's been several posts regarding "feeling bad" about what one has sent and comparing to what others have sent (and I'm guilty too). After I was thinking about that for a while, I remembered I'd read something here before and found it pretty easily as someone very smart made it a sticky.

For those of you who haven't read it, check this out, it should be a "must read":

    http://www.cigarsmokers.com/t2539-pl...derations.html

It includes a link to a Cigarpass thread and if you read the whole thread on this site, and the one on cigarpass, ...... well, ...... it put my mind to rest.

    Thanks all!!

    Thumbs up

Thanks Newfie...It gave me a better understanding. In reality it is how it should be. I guess being new my concern was unfounded. Sorry guys.
