Casa Fuente Las Vegas

I'm going to Las Vegas in the middle of May for a few days (17-19) and was surfing the net about cigar stores.

Came across Casa Fuente in the Forum at Cesar's. Has anyone been? Any recommendations? Should I indulge in an Opus X?

Any other good stores in Sin City to visit? I'm staying at the Wynn.

I am a huge vegas acffcianado. I try to go 2-3 times a year.

One word of advice. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CIGARS. Vegas is super duper expensive when it comes to cigars.

Definately visit Casa Fuente. Iddulge in an expensive cigar. Sit dow and ppl watch Be sure to Have the house special drink. A mojito or a capirianha ( with tobacco infused gran marnier)
Try one of their House cigars, Casa Fuente CG or the Belicoso Both quality cigars. If you have the extra cash be sure to pick up almost any A/F cigar you could possibly want. I hear they are now stocking the odd shaped ones..LOL!!

Places to smoke in Vegas.. Just about everywhere. No one really frowns upon it.
Be sure to check out the Monte Carlo Brewery. Great place for some beer (be sure to try a giraffe) Ask for a giraffe of high roller red ale. Also nice place to skoke and listen to some local bands.

Bellagio has a nice piano bar where they have some great Single malt..Nice place to hang out and ppl watch.

Downtown there is a cart. They sell cigars and some very cool cigar shirts, ashtrays etc etc.
Expensive ciagrs but very cool merchandise.

Another place I like to smoke is at the Venetian. They have a restaurant called Delmonico. The best steakhouse I have had in Vegas nice bar area with great drinks and overpriced selection of cigars.. But a great place to eat and drink.

I can go on andon.. But ill stop and let you discover some t things on your own.

If I could visit any single cigar shop in the USA , I'm pretty sure it would be Casa Fuente . Pictures I've seen look great and I hear they stock the hard to find lines as well . I'd love to get my hands on a couple Casa Fuente house brand cigars , but I'll just have to wait , not gonna spend $30-$40 on Cbid for one .

So it sounds like I should invest in some Casa Fuente house cigars to bring home. Should I also get some for ebay?? Sounds like I'll be invading my little piggy bank to bring some extra cash.

Another question: How does one travel with a lighter and cigar cutter?? I guess the cutter could be packed and checked; no different than a razor. But it seems they could confiscate a lighter even if it's in checked baggage and empty. I'm thinking I'm gonna buy a lighter there and maybe ship it home--probably not totally legal either, but I've received lighters thru the mail.

Has anyone successfully carried an empty lighter on board an airplane?? That is, do the geniuses working for the TSA understand that an empty lighter is okay?

Pack a cutter, buy a lighter or use matches.

I don't think they differentiate between full and empty lighters. Only thing I know of that you can carry a lighter (lighter meaning Zippo) is to check it in an Otterbox - http://www.otterbox.com/products/zippo_case/ . Even then, I don't know that the TSA folks are up to speed on that so you might be SOL.

It's against eBay policy so good luck with that one.

You'll want to bring a few home. I don't agree with selling them for profit on Ebay, but I'm sure you could find more than a couple of guys on here willing to buy or trade for a couple.

Use matches or buy a lighter and empty it before shipping it back.

Back from Vegas. Stayed at The Wynn. Amazing, over over the top hotel and casino. One cocktail waitress in the casino is more gorgeous than the next. Hard to get their pictures, though.

Walked over to the Venetian one afternoon to the Davidoff store and got a Millenium cigar for the walk back.

Made it to Casa Fuente Thursday night. It was pretty empty, but I bought my friends cigars and the best mojitos I've ever had (had to get a second one!!). Got 6 Casa Fuente cigars to bring home and a Colibri lighter with built in punches in the bottom; I had that shipped to avoid any airline/port hassle. The lighter got here a couple of days ago.

BTW, the cigar was a nice, smooth smoke--really enjoyable. Looking forward to sharing what I brought back with a few friends. I'd recommend a visit to Casa Fuente (in the Caesar's Palace Forum Shops) if you're in Vegas.

Holy balls, you stayed at the Wynn? Lucky bastid when i was out there that was waht i thought was the nicest casino/hotel there. Hope you enjoyed Vegas, I had a blast out there and can't wait to go back.
