There's tons of stuff you can get for under $10. Here's a short list - there'll be others adding on.

Really, any of the Padron 1000 series. The 2000 is probably small for a long commute, but the 3000 and 5000 are both good. Or a 6K if you like a torpedo. I forgot what a 4K is. They all come in natural or maduro.

The Carlos Torano 1959 (gold) series are great smokes - the toro and torps are nice-sized cigars. The signature line is excellent - a bit stronger.

Oliva classic, bold, and if you want a strong cigar, the maduros, are all outstanding smokes - their robustos are a little small.

You might want to start a cigar journal to help you remember what you like. There's an online journal here that looks cool - I haven't tried it yet.

I read where some old head of a cigar company said that the only good $10 cigar came with a five and 2 ones wrapped around it. At any rate, you've got lots of room with a ten.
