After that 3-6 month period, do you douse the humidor with straight solution or do you mix it with distilled water? I'm not exactly sure how to conduct that whole process.

I went to a local drug store and they ordered a pint of propolene glycol for me. I believe the cost was around 9 bucks. Mixing your own solution is the cheapest way to go.

lol - I went into a craft store, I asked the lady for propolene Glycol and she got all wide-eyed and started to back away saying she was going to have to get the manager. I left, I figured she called the cops. I went to Brooks drugstore and got a catalog from a guy but could only get 50 gallon drums. I finally got some at a 2 guys smoke shop, used it for two weeks and then got the beads. I think the bottle is in the basement. Don't waste your money, get the beads.Originally Posted by pierce652
I get mine through work, the propylene glycol that is. I mix up small amounts as needed.
You should/could try a feed store, or a store that sells supplies for farmers that raise cattle. They use it to aid in the treatment of ketosis.
I thoroughly wet the humidifier with 50/50 solution (water's in it already). Times in between, you do the same in distilled water. Or like, 90% of the guys on the board, use beads!Originally Posted by JRas224

What kinda travel humidor do you have? Just wondering cause cigarmony.com has that humidipuck now in a slimmer version which can fit in most of them. You just stick it in the top. If you have a smaller travel humidor and aren't going for that long of a trip I would just use plain distilled water.
