Thread: ISO bargin sungrowns

    Default ISO bargin sungrowns

OK - I didn't want to call them cheap but that's what I'm looking for.

I have really been enjoying sun-grown wrappers for a while. I flirt with the Fuente but they are a little mild.

I love the Aston VSG but I'm starting to get sick of plunking down 8-10 bucks everytime I want one.

So I'm looking for a good tasting, med. to full flavor, spicy, sungrown that is stronger than a fuente and less expensive than a VSG.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks

Give the National Brand a try. I had their Nicaraguan the other day and it was pretty good. They run $2. The sungrowns are about the same and I was told they were prety good as well.

Blows patels stuff away. Fonseca Sun Grown Cedar are one of the best S/G smokes out there. Blowes fuente S/G away IMHO

I picked up a rocky and a fonseca today. Along with an LFD DL maduro and a avo 80.

The fonseca is in a tube and has sungrown on the side of the tube so I'm hoping its the right one.

Rockey Patel Sungrowns are great.....you can head to Famous and pick up a bundle of the "factory selects" for like $36ish or a bundle of the "seconds for a couple dollars cheaper. Both are first rate and just as good.I purchased the petite cornas, toro's,and torpedo's all with no problems.

Another favorite is the Oliva O Bold series....awsome taste very similar to RP.

I have never had the fonseca vintage sungrowns, been meaning to try it but I have had other fonseca's and thought they were way to mild for my tastes.

    some others I like;
    Cuesta Rey Centro Fino Sungrown
    Davidoff Millenium
    Ashton Heritage Puro Sol
Cielo ...I have only seen these at coronacigar and just grabbed 2 boxes the other day, awsome little powerhouse.

Cannot think of the others at the moment.

fonseca vintage and sun grown cedar are two completely different cigars.....the cedar is what i said in an earlier post....the vintage (which is mild to medium) is a conn shade wrapper...dom long leaf filler, dom olor binder....

I've been smoking on a box of Fonseca Cedars #1. They are a damn good cigar at an affordable price.
