    Default Got my humidor today

My humidor finally got here, and I'm religiously following the set up/seasoning info thread posted. I just got a cheapy from ebay (the wife would only lemme have so much $$ for my first one), but the seal seams to be ok, and I'm checking the calibration right now. I was just wondering if anyone has any other tips/tricks they havent posted before about checking the seal, or seasoning a new humi. Any help is really appreciated.

Also, I got to try a Don Lino Africa the other night and think it could be one of my faves, can anyone suggest any other similar cigars???

i would imagine the way to check the seals is just to see if your RH drops too fast..

    Errrr....

only thing I can think of is to stick a dollar bill on the seal. If you tug at it and it comes out, seal's bad. Also if you drop the lid and it closes all the way (no suction of air, stops slightly before the rim) then the seals bad.

    There's a thread on seasoning a humi...

If the seal is really bad but you want to stick it through - go to Home Depot and some rubber strips - line it, you'll be all set.

    Good luck.

I didn't quite follow this. If it closes all the way the seal's bad?
