Where the hell ya been?
As far as the mold, just let the cigars dry out and brush the mold off. You'll barely notice it.

What color is the "mold"? From what I've gathered reading, if it is white, it is not mold, it is a sign of well taken care of cigars. If it is greenish/bluish, then that is mold. What humidity level are you running at? What is the temp?
Just remember, even with beads you need to open the coolerdor door/lid now and then.Stick a fan from a pc with a battery in there for flow of fermented gases....unless its just box storage.
If boxes are stored, only the non varnished cedar boxes need not be propped open,I think dressed cardboard ones too.I keep my lids slightly open a tad for airflow and a fan to circulate twice a day and open the lid for an hour before filling with water and once a week.
I also keep a big piece of foam with distilled water because the heartfelt beads are not the best at giveing humidity but excellent at takeing and maintaining. With cooladors and tuppadors with tight air tight seals, foam and or other humidity source isnt really needed with beads as the new sticks' moisture will take care of things.
I keep tupadors cracked a tad too and they stay at 65% with beads and also rid the tuppador of fermentaion gases.

You can still have white mold. You're talking about plume, which has a crystalline appearance (it glitters). It would also likely not cover that many cigars like Puff describes, not all cigars "plume".Originally Posted by iluvmysh

I am sure it is mold as it is white and kinda furry in appearance. I'll get a pic later and post. Also, since the rest of the sticks were very wet and soft I say it was from humidity although I was keeping it a pretty consistant 70% I have a feeling that my cigars were actually acting like the humidor and soaking up the excess rather that the green foam. I did fail to open the lid very often so I will be more inclined to do that from now on and give it a good weekly airing out. I just hope all is not lost. Not a huge collection by many standards, but 40 sticks is alot too me.
Wipe em down, dry em up, and clean the cooler. All will be ok.
