It is one of the smaller coolers and holds about 50 sticks very nicely but I would like to get some cedar in there.
A proper 50 stick humi is not very expensive and is available on the internet. Have you consideded that?

Have one and the lid broke off and now it doesn't keep a good seal. I have an extra cooler laying around so I am using that for now. It works great and has a perfect seal. I have beads in it now so the humidity should stay level as long as I air it out every week. Just want the cedar for extra protection and I like the smell/flavor it imparts on my smokes.

Go out and buy an Oust fan (it's in the air freshener section of the store). It comes with a D battery, and circulates the air. No need to ever open the cooler to "air it out". Keeps the humidity level up there, without having to constantly recharge the beads.

GG - never heard of these. Sounds like a great way to stabilize the moisture, but how do they keep the moisture up? Is it just because the humi stays closed?

They do work. They are the white plastic thingies at the top left and bottom right.

Nice set-up Bruce. I remember you posting pics when you were in the process but this is the first I've seen of it with anything in it.
