    Question Heartfelt Beads

    Howdy all,

Just wanted to get the story on these Heartfelt Beads I've been hearing so much about. I went to the company's website today to check them out, and it seems like a very simple (not to mention affordable) solution.

    Quick Questions:

    1. How often do they have to be replaced?
    2. It seems much more economical to buy a bunch up front (1/2 or 1 lb. bags), but is it possible to store them w/o "using them up"
    3. Does everyone agree with the recommended amounts for usage (.5 oz for 25-50 humi, 1 oz. for 50 - 75 humi, etc.)

    Thanks for the time guys.

They last pretty much forever, definitely buy the 1/2 lb or 1 lb bag.

Buy twice what they recommend, that way youwont have to fool with them as much.I have an old cooler that measurs about 13x13x24 inside. With a pound of beads inside it will go for a couple of weeks before it needs charging.

You can't go wrong with more beads.

I started out with a med. tube for my 40-50 desktop humi and just cycled that out for a large tube and used the med. tupe for my travel/office tupper...

Since they last forever, it doesn't make much sense to buy more than you need. You don't need to store some with the intent to replace the ones in your humidor. It seems like they only need to be replaced if they absorb gunk from tap water. That's why they require distilled water only.

I bought the 1/2 ounce humitube, and it works fine in my desktop humidor.

You don't need to stockpile any for future use. However, using more beads makes your humi more stable (and you consequently have to charge/dry them less often).

Not to mention that buying a pound up front saves buying again later when you DO upgrade to a bigger count humidor or a tupperdor

Just wanted to say thanks for all of the insight, and follow-up by begging for more.

Does anyone have any feelings one way or the other as to whether or not the tube is worth it, or should I just buy the bag and put the beads in a small bowl?

    Thanks Again,
