You don't need to stockpile any for future use. However, using more beads makes your humi more stable (and you consequently have to charge/dry them less often).Originally Posted by Wigglesworth

Just wanted to say thanks for all of the insight, and follow-up by begging for more.
Does anyone have any feelings one way or the other as to whether or not the tube is worth it, or should I just buy the bag and put the beads in a small bowl?
Thanks Again,
Depends on your plans for usuage. If you plan on getting a big humidor or are just anal about having perfect humidity, go with the big bag in a tupperware bowl. If you are anal about looks and are sure you wont upgrade to bigger or better things, get the tube. I went with the tube because I knew I would be moving my humidor alot to avoid heat and I didn't want the potential mess of the tupperware as well as the tube is similar to a cigar shape, thus the room it takes is used more efficiently.
The tube has flat ends, so it will stand vertically in my small humidor. This works out very well, because space is precious.Originally Posted by Stryprod

Such awesome potential for destruction manipulated in peaceful contemplation reminds a man that he is, regardless of what others have said about him, a man." - Wigglesworth
I would actually prefer that rather than laying the tube on its side but my humidor is not tall enough... hmmm, quess I'll have to get a new one.Originally Posted by Wigglesworth
