    Default My Cigar Den

A while back I promised pictures of the new room and cabinet. Now that I am starting to settle in, the smoking den is beginning to come together. Although I do 90% of my smoking outside, it is nice to have a cigar themed room.

It is still a bit empty. I have more crap on the way (clock, signs, and prints). Nothing like Cockyhoskins walk in humidor, but it will do for now:

The Den- recognize the website on the laptop?

The new cabinet (almost half full)-

Smoking chairs… …I spent my leather chair budget on the cabinet- The cigar ashtray belonged to my Great-Grandfather

Center wall- One of the desktop humis is the wife’s (flavored crap) The other contains misc. RPs, REOs and Toranos-

    Supply closet-

Small desktop cabinet which is filled to the brim. Almost half of the contents are from BPP’s mega-sampler I won over at Snobs-

I had plans to do a smoking room but it is getting turned into a nursery instead.

    Looks awesome......

BTW, Utah is one of my states I'm passing thru on my x-country trip next summer
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

The equipment is great, but that room is too bright. Why not hang some hunter green textured wallpaper on the bottom half of the wall under a walnut chair rail? Decor makes the atmosphere.

Another thing, where are the animal heads?

"A cigar provides a man the opportunity to manipulate fire and smoke. These devastating elements of nature that can ravage forests and snuff out life are conquered and dominated by the lightest adjustment of the lips and the breath. Such awesome potential for destruction manipulated in peaceful contemplation reminds a man that he is, regardless of what others have said about him, a man." - Wigglesworth

Thanks for the tips, Wigglesworth. I agree the room is too bright. I originally purchased walnut wood blinds for the window, but after installing them (believe it or not), the room was too dark. I took those back and opted for white. I would like to add a walnut or cherry window hood to the mix.

I will also consider two-toning the room with a wood rail to break it up. However, I outgrew my hunter green phase back in 1996 or so. Maybe dark sage or cocoa brown?

You will not find any animal heads in the den. I am a fly-fisherman and not a big hunter. I find taxidermy to be quite tacky and kind of freaky!

    Schweeeeet!!!!!

I hope to one day have an area to smoke in. It will probably wind up being the bar area in the basement.

I have a plan! Now all I need is time and money! Anyone know where I can get some of that?
