Contest Ideas?

I've got some cigars I want to give away

You guys got any ideas for a Cigarsmokers.com contest? I was thinking about doing a thread contest, since we are closing in on the 500 thread mark. But I think it may turn in to a SPAM fest.

that's tough. cuz it would most likely be just a bunch of shameless posting to reach a number or to beat each other. i say just give them to your top 5 posters.

if you had wanted to send the person who made 500 cigars then you shouldnt have mentioned anything about it... and just posted about that afterwards...

you could do it for future benchmark numbers 666, 1000, 2000, etc...

for this contest you could ask some trivia...
have us pick a number between 1 and 1000

but either way free cigars are

You should give the cigars to any of the follwing:

1. Members who are attorneys
2. Newest members
3. Members who suck up to the host of the site the most (did I mention this was the best cigar site on the net)
4. Members who shamelessly attempt to find easy ways to get the free cigars

Send the cigars (without bands) to various members. We smoke them and if we can guess what they are then we get to keep them if not then we send them back. Oh wait that does not work.

Seriously though . . . I like the previous post where you pick certain benchmarks for posting and when some lucky person happens to be that poster you send them along with a note. Then post it on the board.

How about sending them to some of us newbs so that we might expand our cigar smoking horizons. Or you could support members of the law enforcement community for thier diligent work in keeping you safe at night by sending them a cigar

. Just a couple ideas from a newbie cigar smoking cop.

Assign people a person who will compete in the home run derby. The member whose player jacks the most homers gets the smokes.

I held a "guess what beer I'm drinking right now" contest on CP. You could do something like that and the first 1 or 2 people (depending on how many smokes you want to give away) with the correct guess wins.

Pick a number between 1 and 100. Then post a thread where everyone can post one number and whoever gets closest after a certain period wins.

At least thats how this other forum that had a weekly "prize" would do it. If somebody posted two numbers or repeated a number somebody else posted they were eliminated.
