Totally by hand. A description created in Cuba to differentiate between the Cuban method of making cigars by hand and the semi-mechanised techniques used elsewhere that can legally be described as ‘Hecho a mano’ or ‘Hand-Made’.

I do have a question about the differences between “made by hand” and “totally made by hand”. What process is semi- mechanized per say when they are trying to differentiate between the two?
