You can relight a cigar that has gone out. Just tap the ash off and relight it. But I wouldnt try saving a cigar over night or anything, definitely do not put it back in your humidor or tupperware after it has been lit. If you cut the end off, you could relight it a few hours later, or later that night I guess, you just dont want the burnt smell getting close to your other unlit cigars.

I'm not sure about buying online, but there are about 4 stores in calgary and after having visited and purchased from all four I would only really buy at one of them........ So look around and get a feel for whats out there, dont get settled into a routine too quickly:) I bought singles for a couple months until I was sure what I thought I liked, so I purchased a box of Quinteros. I had smoked about 4 singles before I bought the box. And I still try a different cigar every week or so:) And I think after I finished this box I may buy a box of something else I havent choosen yet. Also, I really want to travel to cuba or the domin republik for a box and bring one back.

I've quit smokin' cigerattes for a few months now too:) I never liked smoking cause of all the lung problems associated with it. I wouldnt inhale a cigar..... I have by accident but it's not very pleasant... And I personaly don't think oral cancer is an issue... In my opinion it's just anti smoking groups lobbying for a reason you should stop....

Anyone here know someone personaly who has died, or even contracted oral cancer from smoking cigars only???

Your cigar shop owner is a liar and is just trying to scare you into losing any interest you may have had in Cuban cigars so he can sell you more of his crap.

Personally I would not do business with someone who lies like that.

i agree. the first time i went to the cigar vault which is one of 5 close by cigar shops, i asked if they sold davidoff and the guy told me "i don't know who's ass you'd have to kiss to get a davidoff around here." so, knowing they sell them at a very popular shop about 3 blocks away, i asked "so, you don't know of anywhere in houston that sells them?" and he replied, "nope. i don't know of anywhere that sells them." never went back.

that place is nice. there are several in my part of town. (galleria area) there's cigar vault at 610 and post oak in post oak park. there's jeffery stone ltd. on westheimer and sage, near the grand lux restaurant. the best place to go IMO is serious cigars. they have the best prices and selection. if you're looking to get some opus x or padron 1926 or 1964, go to the downtown spec's liquor or smith st., i think. i'm not too sure about you're no humidification question. but i'd say not very long. a few days, max. if you're going to keep in in a tupperware, you can make a humidifier with the green foam that florist use to hold together arrangements. search the thread for info about how to make a cheap humidor.
