Tea of any kind is also supposed to have many positive health benefits. The discovery channel was doing a show on how natives who ate a diet high in fish still had low mercury levels. They found that a diet that includs a lot of tea seemed to reduce the mercury absorbed from the food.

I have read somewhere that green tea can actually be bad for you. You need to drink great amounts of it to get the benefits that supposedly it has but in small amounts it was shown to mess with our organisms intake of iron that we get from fruits and veggies.
