Buying a Truck

If you're going to buy a truck, buy a diesel, otherwise you're wasting gas and money, not to mention a diesel will go 300,000 miles like it is warming up. Also, don't buy a (F)ound (O)n (R)oad (D)ead. If you buy a gas truck, go Chevy or Dodge, heck, even Toyota. If you buy a diesel go Chevy or Dodge, but not a dodge after this model year. My cousin is a big diesel wrench monkey and tells me they've had to screw with the cummins sooooo much to meet emission standards that it's ruined the dependability for all future Dodge diesels.

I agree about not buying a Ford. I have a friend in the service dept at a local for store and she says that they are seeing lots of the newer pickups come back in. The last pickup I owned was an '03 Chevy Silvarado with quadrasteer. The thing could do a U turn on a 2 lane street. I also think Chevy/GMC has the best ride out there in a 1/2 ton. I drive through Texas alot where they use pickups as work trucks and I see an awful lot of Chevy pickups
