    Default Cigar Presentation

Next week I am giving a presentation to my class trying to persuade everybody to start smoking cigars. So far two arguments I have come up with are:

    -Health benefits
    -Cigars make you smarter

Any other ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. BTW, I am seriously going to try and make this argument, so information that can be backed up or referenced would be best.
    End of line.

Go for the high content of lithium in Cuban soil as an argument that it is a good relaxant and focuser.

On the "Health Benefits" argument, mention that George Burns lived to be 100 years old. He smoked 10-15 large stogies per day for more than 70 years!

This article was published a couple of years before his death:

don't forget... you look cool - that should be the first one...

just googled the topic - http://cigars.about.com/od/legalheal.../a/0061003.htm

Are there any health benefits to cigar smoking? Long before all the research proved that it was dangerous to smoke, tobacco was actually used for medicinal purposes. Although we now know that it will not cure cancer and other diseases, some cigar enthusiasts will argue that cigars can be smoked to relax, and therefore, lower the blood pressure. Besides, if smoking cigars brings relaxation or enjoyment, then it is providing a mental health benefit. Tobacco is also believed to be an aid in controlling weight. Cigar smoke can repel flying insects, and therefore, lower the risk of contracting St. Louis encephalitis or the West Nile virus when enjoying the great outdoors.

It's not an arguing point, per se, but you might want to look into influential people who smoke/smoked cigars. I'm sure you'll find most of the most powerful people in the world smoked cigars...
