Thread: AF King B

  1. Default AF King B

Just read that AF has canceled production of King B's and has recalled all the outstanding boxes...Any truth to that?

WTF? Discontinuation is one thing. Recall, another! I just picked up a couple of these for aging a couple of months ago. Are they full of poison or something? Why in the hell would a cigar be recalled???

I sent an e-mail.... we'll see if I get an answer... probably won't hear from them until Monday
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

I heard there are too many stems and seeds in them.

Nothing will ruin a hand-rolled quicker than the pop of a seed.

I hate rumors and always believe in going to the source to ask them if it is true....

So I sent an e-mail to Darlene at Tampasweetheart.com asking her if this was true and letting her know that I would post her response on the BB. She in turn sent me an e-mail letting me know that she had a call into the DR asking them about this rumor.

This is the response I just received from her last night.....

NO they have never been recalled.

NO they are not being discontinued.

YES they are very limited...that's why they are in demand and hard to get that's why we sell one box per customer/per month only.

So to answer your question.... whatever was being said is a rumor indeed. I got the info straight from the DR hdqtrs. Post away!
