That is awesome. Has anyone ever heard of Kenneth Copeland? That guy is my favorite. For some reason he needs a seven-chimney guarded estate on Eagle Mountain Lake to spread his message.
    End of line.

Just to kick a dead horse.. :)

I just kind of skimmed through posts, so I may have missed a couple things... But something that did strike me as interesting was the comparison of Christians to Muslims. And the first thing that came to mind was:

In the west, the muslim faith is defined by a few radicals.
Christianity (and the repubs these days) is defined by a few radicals.

Islam is probably the most beautiful faith in the world, but a very few make it look like bad.

Similarly, these clowns go and build a statue of liberty bastardization and everyone seems to think they represent Christianity or the GOP or both. Really, it only represents these few clowns. I can't imagine my parents' church erecting something like that on the front lawn.

While I'm kicking... How much of this whole "Christian values in gov't" thing is based on a fear of the inevitable legalization of gay marriage? I think there's some fear of what the future landscape of the nation will be with legalized gay marriage, so we've reverted to some romantic ideal of Christianity... Just thinking out loud...

I don't think it has anything to do with gay marriage, so much as it has to do with the fact that old people vote more than anyone else.
    End of line.

But we didn't see this sentiment ten years ago...
