From Estelo Padrón's 1998 classic release in which he scrupulously echoed the flavor and aroma of the original Cuban Hoyo De Monterrey blend. Now discon- tinued, the Hoyo Seleccion Royale Condesa is a deftly handcrafted Pyramid that gracefully fans out from a rounded 42-ring head to a 50-ring foot.
To re-create that rich, smooth Cuban flavor, Padrón used specially selected Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican long-filler tobaccos, bound them into a U.S. Connecticut Shade leaf, and finished the cigars in light-brown, Ecuadorian-grown Sumatra wrappers that have a soft, buttery appearance and texture.
The smoke is medium to full-bodied, woody in flavor, well-balanced, and very aromatic. Since their 1998 debut, these cigars have mellowed beautifully, too.
Collared in the original Cuban bands and presented in an original Cuban box of 20 cigars, the Condesa is well worth bidding on - especially if you're a collector. I doubt there will many (if any at all) left by the end of the summer. To place your bid on up to 50 boxes, CLICK HERE!
