You must come from a large family... you keep missing your periods!

If you can't get the hydrometer to 75% using a pasty salt mixture then you need to toss it or just note the difference and interpolate. If it's an analog hydrometer you may be able to adjust it in the back with a small screwdriver.

I must have misunderstood, but want to be sure. Are you saying that your humi is at 66% or you can't get the hydrometer above 66% when doing the salt test?

Try using a hygrometer and see if that gives you a more accurate reading.

In response to your open question, may I make a suggestion?
    1. Re-season Humidor
    2. Calibrate hygrometer. My friend suggested a novel (however not inexpensive) way.
Easier way is to purchase a Boveda pack your choice of % humidity(65%, 69% 70%).
put hygrometer and boveda pack overnight. The reading of the hygrometer should
tally with the printed humidity of the boveda pack. They also have a one step calibration
    bag.

    Hope this helps
    C
