Payback is a bitch!

Was sitting around the Smoke Ring the other day with a buddy and some regulars. I was smoking a Camacho, cause this was Saturday and my cold was just getting started and Camachos are perfect for when you have a cold. Anyway, my cigar was getting down to the last third or so.

You know how it gets, you're in a leather chair, in a nice air-conditioned room, they're playing jazz on the sound system and I'm getting all mellow and relaxed. Suddenly the lit cigar shifted in my hand and the hot ash hit me in the webbing between my thumb and forefinger. My reaction was to fling it, and it hit my buddy low on the leg and sent the rest of the hot ash into his shoe. He hops up with a hot foot yelling and hollering, and I'm going "I'm sorry, I got burned too!" He ends up grinning about it so we sit back down and I finish my cigar. Yes, I picked it up off the floor, who am I, Bill Gates? I finish my cigars!

So about another 30 minutes pass, and I have to go. As I'm leaving my buddy goes "Hey" and I turn around to find he has flung a butt (not lit, one from the ashtray that went out) at me which struck me and flung ash all over my shirt. I left grinning, thinking it coulda been worse, he coulda lobbed a nice hot one at me!!!

Just one more day in the cigar trenches.

which Smoke Ring do you go to? I go to the one in Clear Lake about once a week. Maybe I have seen you in there without even knowing it.

that is pretty funny. I am thinking maybe we should write a show a kinda of spin off of the 70's show where everyone one is all grown up and smoking cigars in the basement..whatcha think?

That's a heck of an idea, we can call it "Pissing off the Neighbors" and get Judd Apatow to write it. I'll volunteer to be on the show!!!

which Smoke Ring do you go to? I go to the one in Clear Lake about once a week. Maybe I have seen you in there without even knowing it.

I go to the one in Sugar Land, I'm a regular there and everyone seems to know my name by now. I go to the one in Clear Lake only when I have to fill in for the manager of our office out there, which is maybe a few times a year. Next time I will let you know and maybe we can hook up there over lunch time.
