Would it be easier to just mail cigars to one person vs making this a pass?

Or is that what we are doing...It is early for me and I may not be awake yet.

It is an actual pass with puts and takes in it with each person also throwing in the extra sticks for the troops

STILL OPEN TO ADD MORE PEOPLE

    The Idea

To have another pass and collect smokes for our troops at the same time

    The Rules (shamelessly borrowed)

    1) Priority #1 is to have FUN!!!!
    2) When you receive the pass, please do a through inventory and make sure everything is numbered correctly
    3) Inspect the box, packing etc. If you have any concerns, please post or notify me via PM
    4) Please do not remove any cigars from their baggies unless they are a part of your Takes.
    5) Do as many Puts/Takes (P/Ts) as you want, but post them prior to shipping the package off to the next recipient.
    6) P/Ts should be: A) value for value, B) Rarity for Rarity
    7) If anyone does not feel that the Puts/Takes are fair, please be polite in addressing it, to the person directly or to me
    8) This pass will not include ISOMs just to be on the safe side for now
    9) Prior to shipping, please post or PM the next person to verify that they are ready for the pass.
    10) Once you ship the package via USPS Priority Mail, please post DC# in the forum

    Cigars for troops

    1) Please include some cigars that you would like to donate to our troops. Once the pass makes its way back these will be shipped to the toops serving in the Middle East
    2) Not obligatory, but if you feel like it, you can include a note, post card, photo, what everelse you want that will also be sent to he troops to bring up their spirits and feel that we care.

    The FUN RULE ...

There will be an extra box of cigars in the pass. PLease fell free to take one for yourself as a freebie. My only request is that once you smoke this one please post a review of it in the review section. Who ever starts the first thread, everyone else can just post in the same one. No need to worry as the review can be as simple as yo want EX I really enjoyed this cigar I give it a 4 out of 5 or I did not like it I give it a 2 out of 5. Or if you feel like having a more sophisticated review please do it by all means

I'm gonna have to pass on the actual "pass".... but when I get back home I will send some smokes to be included in the shipment to our boys overseas.....

Just a thought.... ya might want to send the shipment of cigars for the troops to somebody who does it all the time..... www.OpFTH.com . Or you can just get in touch with preembargo over at CigarPass... I just sent him a shit load of stuff to send over.

On there website it also lists some other things that the guys/girls might need to make there lives a bit easier (I sent- lipbalm, eyedrops, gum and some cigar magazines)
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

If you guys can give me the address of the final person via pm, I would like to donate a stick or two for our troops overseas. and just a thought, if they are in the desert, and the desert is dry, then the cigars will probably dry out pretty quickly. would it be a good idea to just send them tubos, or will a ziplock baggie sufficiently keep in the humidity?

Good question! I just got back this week from the desert and I can tell you that the temp and humidity can be on both extremes rather quickly. Usually the gars get sent in a tupperware type container, (water/air tight and durable); and the best thing I found to work were water pillows. *(donated by one of our very own here, thanks again).

The only exception is that there is no distilled water available to them so bottled water is all that can be used. I did not experience much difficulty with it, but would suggest that a small bottle from someones house with some distilled in it, could be added and appreciated.

Water Pillows can be had at most B&M's for $.50. Once activated, they're good for up to a few weeks. Small enough to travel in tupperware or ziplock.

Shit, sorry guy's I'm out for this one. Lack of funds to the extreme I'm afraid. I'll try to send a little something to Dan for the troops before it gets sent off...

A short time back after I joined the board, BPP posted that water pillows can be re-used. Tis' true to a point. Before I dwelved into a cabinet, I had several humidity thingamajigs in a giant tupperdor. When the air pillows dried out, I would add distilled water and alas- they would resurrect. Not to their former "billowiness": but erect. Best comparison is of the male specimen in dog years. I got 3-4 good coverage passes out of the pillows each time with a decreased efficiency with the next round. If only everything could be as easy as "just add water".

Default I'm in, if it's not too late

Is it too late for me to get involved? Thanks to a generous person here I and seberal people benefited from something like this. I would love to Pay it Forward as well. I need a little time to build up my collection. I will be on vacation for a few weeks but I can mail out from where I am going. So just let me know where I stand. I am up for the donation.
