Cool, I've been on the lookout for a minifridge that doesn't work for the same reason. Keep us up to date.

I have a wine cooler. But if yours doesn't work, how is it different from a heavy igloo cooler?
Exactly what part doesn't work. I like my wine cooler and use it for boxes but keep the humidor for somethig I'm going to smoke soon... With a controller, I find the rh and temp are very stable.
For one, it looks better than a cooler![]()
I won't be using it for climate control, just humidity control of my long-term storage sticks.
I have already started on it. All of the wiring, coils, condenser and controls are removed. I also took the freezer part out because it was wasting space that I'll need for stacking boxes. I plan to use the defrost tray that was under the freezer for beads. A Spanish cedar tray (16" wide) will slide in above it. The crisper tray in the bottom will also hold singles. I have some more work to do in that department but it'll be done a lot sooner that I originally thought.
I think one fan (from a copier) will be all I need. Has anyone used one of those before?

I use two of the oust fans. Mainly because they are simple...
Got them from Walmart marked down from 7.99 to about 3.49 recently.
No wiring, just remove the scent bottle (make sure it hasn't already leaked on it) and install the included D cell battery. It runs 5 minutes on and 15 off for over a month on the one battery.
not a lot of air movement but gets the job done I think.![]()
