Yes. The preferred method is with a spray bottle. If you just dump water on the beads they will crack. Although this does not make them any less effective, it is just a pain to deal with them when they are cracked in half as opposed to whole.

welp i lined the bottom with the cedar and built me a little stand for the boxes to sit on instead of on the bead containersAfter i added the wood the RH dropped from high 70's and is steady at 70Rh :) So when the stogies get here on a Monday we'll be good to go! OH and there's a pic of the stand I made below!
