Default VOIP deal viatalk.com today only (not ad)

    Stolen from www.slickdeals.net

Viatalk.com has a deal today only for 199 for 2 yrs. It is comparable to vonage or sunrocket. Unlimited local and LD.

I don't know how good it will be but I'm going to give it a whirl.

I've already signed up. Is anyone familiar with it?

I don't know how good ViaTalk is, but I use Vonage. I just found out that Verizon is suing Vonage for "patent infringement"... Click Here

IMO VOiP is the greatest thing... I can keep track of all of my phone calls, have them transfered to my cell phone in case the Cable goes down. I can also have up to 10 lines ring at the same time as my telephone.

I just moved and was able to take my phone # with me... anywhere in the US

If you are interested in Vonage, PM me with your e-mail and I will send you the link

PS.... my phone bill is only $30.00.... unlimited local and long distance
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

    Thanks Bkcloud114,

I've already signed up for this deal though. Works out to less than 10.00 per month. Will let you know how it works. Already assigned a number although porting my old number will take a couple weeks I imagine.

Is it true that you can't call 911 with Vonage?
    End of line.

I believe they fixed the 911 service although it works slightly different. The service I'm getting includes e911 whatever that is (I haven't read it all yet). The problem is you can move your phone device around and it is going to route 911 calls you your address llisted with your service, not where you actually are. For most people this isn't a problem. Being a Pilot I can carry the box with me and connect it at any hotel with High speed internet and the calls are supposed to still work as if I was home.

That said I'm just leaving mine at home and saving some phone dollars with good old bellsouth.

    Exactly what Planenut said

Ditto, except mine is $24.95 per month. And we have some weird problem, at least 1-2 times per month I have to reboot the Vonage router as our lines go out.

Vonage here also, except mine only runs about $17. I have the basic plan which gives you 500 minutes of local or long distance. Lucky for me, my wife doesn't enjoy talking on the phone much.

$200 for 2 years sounds good though.

How well VOIP works all depends on how reliable your ISP is. The service in my area is very saturated and I often lose usable connectivity during peak hours.

I have Vonage too and I love it!! Finally freed from the exorbitant expense of the phone companies and the long distance companies!! I highly recommend it.
