    Default The New Cigar Magazine

Just wondering what people think of the new Cigar Magazine. I've only received the sample issue (great article on Cuban smokes and the now non-JR Employee) and am pondering a subscription. I definitely think the magazine will be better than Cigar Afficionado. Let me know what you think if you've read more than just the sample issue.

    Peace

It's not a bad magazine. I really enjoyed the Cuban cigar stories. I believe, if I'm not mistaken, that's the first issue...

If you order a two year subscription for about $40, they send you a pack of GREAT smokes - well worth the cost (I did the Belicoso sampler). Here's the link:

    Default No real website

The magazine is called just that Cigar Magazine, and the website is http://www.cigar-magazine.com

Has anyone read subsequent issues? I figure it'd be worth it on the basis of the cigar sampler alone, but I don't need anything else cramming my mailbox up so if it's just something I can buy occasionaly, I'd rather do that.

Thanks for the info so far.

i have read the first two issues and have enjoyed the magazine very much. i like the cigar ratings section and selection suggestions and the indepth articles of the people behind the cigars/tobacco industry. with the addition of the sampler, i think its worth the introductory price.

It's all the same selection of cigars, just different vitola's - I guess it depends on what you normally like to smoke. I like Belicoso's primarily...

That Belicoso sampler is making my mouth water... damned sexy.

I think I'm going to subscribe... tax deductible magazine subscriptions that come with free cigars are just too good to pass up.

If I recall correctly, it's bi-monthly (6 issues a year). But, the value of the cigars is greater than the subscription cost. The 8 Beli's I got were probably valued close to $60. And you get a free magazine on top of that...

European Cigar Cult Journal is the best cigar magazine I've come across.

I got my Belicoso sampler in last night. Did not take long at all. Now to figure out which one to smoke first...

I read the first issue, it's a great magazine. The article on Indian figurines was quite fascinating. I also liked the article in the very back about short-fil cigars and the U.S. market. I've been a spendthrift as of late, will probably have to wait until late summer to subscribe.

    Default JR's catalogue

I've read other reviews of this mag that say it's just a JR's catalogue with better stories . I do happen to enjoy the mag though .
