Thread: Cigar Box Humidor?

    Default Cigar Box Humidor?

I tried to search for this before I posted. Just as anyone should. But i was wondering if anyone has had success turning a cigar box into a humidor. I got a box in today and was thinking about trying an experiment on it. It's got a good seal on it. Spanish Cedar. Nice looking. Anybody?

If it can keep a constant humidity at 65%, I don't see why not. Now, excuse me while I step outside and smoke a Cohiba. It has been a very long day.

one of the new employees at my local cigar shop uses a cigar box with a humidi pack in it and he says it works ok, one of the other employees says that the box will eventually warp

my opinion is that it will work for a while and if the box does warp, you canget another cigar box for free usually

I have thought about this several times myself. But I just decided that it is easier to buy a cooler and set up a large storage system rather than try to turn each individual box I buy into a humi.

If you are only looking for a small humi to put some sticks in, jump on this deal Lopaka reposted...

An Investigator that can't find work, is probably not the one you want!

that is a good deal. i was just looking for something to put overflow in. and, they're not doing anything else but sitting there, might as well put them to work. i'm about to buy another humidor anyways. at least a 125 ct. but i might hit that deal up anyways. I've got my eye on that Gurkha Connecticut Reserve and the Carlos Torano Exodus 1959.

The Carlos Torano is $4.80 and that Gurkha is probably $6 - $8 bucks. that's almost fifteen right there. i need to jump on that.
