Don't take these damn political postings so seriously. We all carry on about things now and then. It depends on what is important to us. Barry is passionate about politics and thinks the democratics are the answer to the country's problems. Me, I'm passionate about aviation and I bore folks with it every chance I get. Different strokes.

My philosophy is to state my opinion once and let it go. From there we'll see what happens, and if I am wrong so be it. No amount of posting in ths forum is going to change the future. Politics is not the reason for living, it's just a diversion. We all cast our vote and the results speak for themselves. That is, after all, the only "power" that the constitution gives us. The important thing in life is to help each other when we can, and aside from the few idiots that the news media holds up nightly as examples, I believe that most all of us do that. Remember that there is no argument unless there are 2 people involved. The way to end an argument is to have one person walk away. Let Barry vent but don't take it personally. Overall, Barry is one of the good guys. The fact that we disagree politically doesn't change that (That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!)

Anybody watching Studio 60? It's a parody on the production of SNL. There was a line in it last night when the polls came back saying the show was unpatriotic. Something like "Sure I make fun of Bush! And I'd make fun of the Democrats too if they would only do something!" It sounds as if even Hollywood knows tha the dems are the "do nothing" party (calm down, Barry. )

Now, as to the title of this thread "GOP Condones Pedophiles Actions" - I doubt very much that anyone really believes tha the Republican party condones Pedofiles. But there are, if the news reports are accurate, a few in the Republican party who stood by and did nothing while this went on. Those few obviously do not represent the entire Republican party, but if the reports are accurate, they need to be held responsible.

Actually here in Tennessee we have a Democratic governor that has done a better job than the Republican before him.

Don Sunquist the former Rebublican governor stated he was against a state income tax. He then tried to institute one. He also mismanaged an ill conceived state insurnace plan called Ten-Care. This program was started by a Democrat Ned McCrurter to aid uninsured citizens.

Phil Breedeson got elected, cut Ten-Care way back, and brought the state back into a reasonable financal position while keeping services at an operating level.

All Democrats are not bad just as all Republicans are not good.
