Just for the record all people involved in this squabble are valuable to this board. Bill, George, Sid, and Barry have a vast knowledge of cigars...I wish I had as much. All of them have shared wisdom and cigars with us...For that I thank them.

I don't know what the soution to all this is. I do know banning or running folks off that we may disagree with politically is unwise. If you disagree with someone that is cool...Just do it in a way that preserves your dignity.

I've been pissed at Barry and had a few words with Sid...Over shit that started in the politics area. I entered at my own risk, took some lumps and gave a few back. I've seen name calling on both sides turn into open hostility and bickering. There will be no winners...Only losers if this continues.

I'm starting to think K7 is right...I just don't give a fuck about this mess anymore.

We don't know what the solution is, Ken - because it's not in our hands. It's in Barry and Sid's. And because it was 16-1-2 (as Sid keeps mentioning...) there really is only one solution is Sid's mind - you can see it in his continuing taunts....



Let's just burn the place down, get rid of those nasty old members who would dare infringe on Barry and Sid's right to "free speech" and start from scratch - on the foundation SID and BARRY built. That's clearly what Sid's intention is... He's said it over and over to others on this board - REPEATEDLY - "why don't you just leave..."
No one has told Barry to leave, have they? He's just been asked him to tone it down. But Sid has made it clear he wants some individuals off of HIS board. This whole banning poll was started in the INTEREST of Barry, not as a means of getting rid of him. Sid and Barry's arrogance is absolutely amazing...

Clearly - if both of them were "contributing" to this board (as Sid keeps pointing out) - BOTH would have shut up a LONG time ago in the interest of all of the other members of the community. But - like putting handcuffs on a mime - Barry and Sid just can't do their thing if they're told to tone it down...
