I love 'em but they really are better with some age on them. The problem is that since they're pretty popular, it's very hard to find them from vendors that have any age on them initially and it's almost impossible to get them in CABs which is what I prefer. I got a whole bunch of boxes in March of 2006 and the box codes were all JUL 05. This most recent box I got is SEP 05 and they're smoking pretty good BUT as I mentioned, the more age they have on them, the better they are.
SLR Serie A are VERY NICE too. CABs of those are pretty easy to find. I prefer CABs as opposed to dress boxes because cigars from CABs are nice and ROUND instead of box pressed.
SLRs are probably my favorite overall Cuban cigar except I don't like the Regios.
A trick I learned a LONG time ago is to NOT smoke one brand specifically otherwise I get sick of them so I mix up my Cuban cigars.
For instance, I smoked a RASCC on the way home from work in the car and right now, I'm smoking one of the Jose Piedra Cazadores. Yesterday, I smoked one of the QdO GCs.
Tomorrow it looks like an SLR day!
