Default Cameroon wrappers...just not for me?

It seems the more I try a variety of different sticks with cameroon wrappers, the more I am dissappointed.

There hasn't been many however when 4/5 cameroon wrapped cigars seem to displease the palate it makes me wonder. I am hoping tonight was a off night becuase It seems to be the straw that broke the camel's back.

I keep a very open mind and My humidor is filled with a miriad of cigars from all over the spectrum. Lately, I have finally been able to enjoy cigars on a more frequent basis. With my new found time(for cigar smoking at least) I have been able to enjoy some really kick ass sticks.

Tonight, I was hesitant in picking the Perdomo "D" in a cameroon out of the humidor. I enjoy the Champagne for a great smooth, creamy, mid day smoke so I decided to buy, a few in cameroon and maduro. I was hesitant with good reasoning I suppose. Up front initiially it had a great draw, almost sweet yes it had a "different" taste which I immediately recognized from a CAO cameroon which I positively disliked. I figured it would improve since initially it was pleasant. Tried as I could for about 20 minutes and I tossed it in the river.

Anyone else have an issue with cameroon?

I know there was one cigar that I had with a cameroon wrapper which I enjoyed, but alas I haven't got a clue as to it's maker.

Sorry, I pretty much only smoke high-end cigars, none of which have cameroon wrappers.

I'm not a fan of Cameroon wrappers either. One that I had that I kind of liked was the Camacho Select. Great cigar, the only problem was that I dont really like Cameroon.

I have only had a couple and the only one I enjoyed was the Uppman vintage cameroon. It's the only cigar from them I like.

I acutally like Cameroon wrappers, will pick them before any other kind of wrapper except Corojo or Connecticut shade.

Belmore Cameroon Selection are probably my favorite Cameroon wrapper cigars. I kind of dig the peppery/spicy combo that comes along with them.
