Indian Tabac Ltd. Reserve
This small, mild stick was exactly what I needed this morning after taking the dog for a 3 mile hike in the woods. My dog thunder was so excited that he lost his footing and fell into the poolHe didn't freak out or anything, but it sure surprised him.

OK, so I won the Indian Tabac Ltd. Reserve as part of a Shade Grown Sampler on CBid. It's a light colored cigar ('cause it's shade grown) with a cedar wrapper. I carefully slid off the cedar, cut it with my POS single blade cutter and toasted it with my creme brulet toarch (I love that lighter).
It's a mild cigar which is what I needed today. A bit of chocolate flavor, but it's pretty light. I found myself remembering advice from Sid and LeroyFan when they said that my taste will change from day to day. I've found myself liking fuller body cigars lately, but today, a mild was just what I needed.
The burn was perfect. It had a nice white ash that held together for about 1 1/2" before it fell off. As I got to the 2nd third I started to notice a spicy sweetness that reminded me of cinnamon or maybe cardamon. By the last third I was getting a bit of bitterness but that could be because I almost let it go out and I puffed it a lot getting it to come back.
The taste didn't change significantly as I smoked it. It was just a nice, mild smoke. Great aroma and a nice subtle flavor. I don't think I noticed that the cedar wrapper had any effect. But it sure looked cool!
Newbie Appropriateness:Yeah, if I was introducing a buddy to cigars I'd feel just fine starting him with one of these.
Hey! My "Newbie Reviews" have hit double digits! I guess it's like what Sid said: "Your taste will change. The journey to find what you like is half the fun of this hobby". I'm looking forward to discovering my next 10 cigars.
