Default looking for a bit of advice

i got an email from thompsons today (i don't know how they got my address) but they had this deal that seemed quite good to me

now i understand that generally this board doesn't like thompsons, but can you find anything wrong with this deal? (except for the 2 thompson house brands included, but the others make up for it... maybe?)

I gave it to them for a bundle of free Thomson's Phoenix cigars

Actually, the deal does not look too bad . . . except of course for the Thompsons gars. Even without those the price is right. I am checking it out right now for shipping.

Other than crappy gars . . . my other complaint about Thompson's has been that they do not store their cigars very well. When I used to order from them the cigars came to me dry most of the time.

Looks like a good deal to me, but beware, once you order from them they will direct market you. Sexy-voiced Latina girls will call you and try to get you to sign up for the contract deal. No I didn't fall for it, but I know someone who did.

Yeah, but with that added distraction/incentive, it oculd be disastrous.

Ok, the guy I was speaking of is a relative of mine. I sent him a mini bomb and was telling him about the devil site, and he checked it out, but said he couldn't bid because of his commitment with the monthly deal he had. Wow, I was floored. This is a man who loves to save money, and get the best value for his dollar, in all transactions, and here he has all this mis(?)-directed customer loyalty.

I have never been pleased with Thompson's cigar quality. I got a sampler from them with a travel case back about 2 years ago and all the cigars were very dried out.

They tried to blame it on the super hot temps during shipping.

I ordered in the winter... I live in Orlando... they're in Tampa.

They also tried to hook me on the montly cigar thing.

    to them

The deal seems really good, but like other people are saying, if they don't store their cigars pretty good, that deal doesn't seem as good as it did.

A premium cigar can be horrible if dried out and not properly humidified......especially for a long period of time. Might as well go outside and roll up some leaves that fell from the trees.

I would give this a shot..... pretty decent price for some good smokes (except the Thompson's)

For the price you can make the decision for yourself on the Thompson company
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"
