Sneaky Customer

Well, I had my first of many interesting phone calls today. He picks up my name from my phone greeting, then proceeds to chat me up about the weather, how have I been, ect... Just like my best friend in the world. Then he says he needs to place "another" order. After pulling up the computer records, I don't find his name, so I get his vitals, go to the order screen, and ask for his order.... Imagine my surprise when he says he needs a box each of the following: Anejo #77, Anjeo #48, WOAM, and a Signature Maduro. I asked if this was a joke, he said no, he orders the same thing every year from me!

Nice try Bucko!

HAHAH cause EVERYONE orders those all the time. pfft.

BTW- Did you guys get any Anejo? I bought two Sharks today...The store I went two rcvd ONE box yesterday at 2 and today were down to 3 sticks! hahah

I am gonna go visit ya on Friday if you are there and would like to pick up some more.

Gotta give the guy points for originality. Normally they just call up and ask about ordering them. Never had one pal around with me and try to convince me I'd sold to him before.. lol.

Hopefully by Friday I'll have more in.

I've never had the pleasure of having an Anejo of any sorts. Are they as good as they are made out to be, and if so whose sending me one?

Not yet, but it's still early. UPS hasn't been here yet, and sometimes this stuff is couriered over. :) I've got some VSG's though. :)

I just bought a ton of VSG's!

I found a shop near my parents home in wesley chapel that had a couple boxes. I had never even heard of them before. I stopped into and bought some along with quite a few of their own sticks and had a smoke while I Was there. I love supporting local business! Hopefully their label of cigars is as tasty as it was described.

I got soooo backed up at home(throwing a christmas/holiday party tonight) and was only able to go to the areas I was already in.

I am not avoiding you or Edwards. I WILL be there sometime soon..hopefully next week now that the party will be done with.

That's cool, tonight wasn't a great night to hang out. The domino players have taken over the back room. We've got to come up with a heater for the patio so we can boot them out there and take our lounge back. The bar was full up to. Missed some great rum and Johnnie walker by the way! :)

I called a place just about two hours ago that I had never bought from or ever contacted before in my life. I asked them if they had any Anejos, and he said "Yes." I asked him is he could sell me a box and he said "Sure, no problem." They'll be shipped to me on Monday so I'll have them on Wednesday. Oh and he only charged me 8% over MSRP with free shipping.

So what you're saying cigargirl is you wouldn't sell a box to this guy even if he was honest?

Keep playing your games and I'm glad you're up front with us as to how your run your business so I can add you to my list of shops to never patronize.

It would depend on how many I get, and what I can talk the owners and the other guys who work here into. I have to abide by the policies we have in place and I still have my own beliefs. Like I said before, there are places that just don't have a market for them. And they are quite happy to sell you a box. You just have to find them. It's not a perfect world, I don't have enough to make regular customers happy. So, I guess I'd have to say no, I couldn't sell you a box unless you have been a regular customer with us and they dropped a huge shipment on us. That's more likely to happen with OpusX though, not Anejo.

Meh I kinda think the cigar world is a first come first serve basis. If someone wants a certain cigar bad enough they will find a place that has it.
