Being that "The Don" is my main man, I thought I'd chime in.
First off, the rollers for the DK's are varied in skill level. One third of the sticks you'd recieve are a bit too loose and are smoked in just under 25 minutes. Another third are too tight, especially if your humi is well hydrated. And the last third are just right, perfect pull and burn nice and even all the way down when well humidified.
The way I deal with the three types of DK's are as follows: If loose, simply enjoy what you got: a well humidified smoke with an easy pull, count your blessings. If tight, cut the stick and check the pull. If it's so tight you can't get a good draw, let it dry out a bit outside of your humi for 6 hours or so: when you you come back to it, it'll pull solid smoke and will last a solid 50 minutes. If perfect, sit back and enjoy a nice 40 minute smoke which will leave you feeling halfway drunk for the next two hours.
So in conclusion, the DK's are tempermental and vary from stick to stick even within boxes, but they are cut from a quality tobacco which burns very slow and packs a solid punch to your noggin. I don't have a sophisticated enough palate to pick out flavors and scents from smokes, but when it comes to "The Don's", I can confidently say that they are a fairly flavorless smoke that has a spicy fullbodied flavor with hints of little else. If you are looking for a smoke to give you a lasting body buzz that will allow you to watch the movie of the night without being your normal cynical self, grab a Don. Gets the "Hershey Seal of Approval".
