Peculiar pm

i got a pm from a user that has never posted titled 'you and your cigars.' all it said was "I'm from Minnesota and would love to chat with you. I'm a male." then an email adress that didn't even work. i emailed him asking why he would send me such a odd message. anyone else gotten anything like this?
