Default Please Excuse My Bragging, but........

Many of you know I love to cook. You may also know that although the Bride is a decent cook, she hates the kitchen.

So, I told her I'd cook New Years dinner on one condition, she stayed out of the "Cookin' Room" (as I like to call it) and keeps unsolicited criticisms and advice to herself.

Well, I cooked an 18 lb turkey (my first time ever cooking a turkey) with all the traditional trimmings and I was so proud of the way it looked when I took it out of the oven, I had to get the camera and capture the moment for posterity!!!

While the pictures don't do the size justice, take into account there was 5 cups of rice stuffing in this bird!!!

    Good Morning all,
Had the trip to Tulsa to do today. Smoked a Gispert maduro churchill on the way down. I sure do like these sticks!! Nice, good flavor, but on the mild/medium side so its perfect for me as a morning smoke with my coffee....ummm, ummmm, good.

I come down here at least once a month, but haven't had the opportunity to look for b/m's here yet. Does anyone have a suggestion in the Tulsa area? If I have time today, I may just hit the yellow pages and go look a couple over if they are close enough to the office.

well, i'm at work again. boss decided to show up kinda on time. co-worker called in sick again and we're swamped.

get this, yesterday I was working late and was fixing to leave. the boss had uploaded a bunch of pictures to my desktop a while back and I decided to look and see if i could delete them. As i was opening them up, he comes walking up and says "Whatcha working on there, Partner?" Like i was just goofing off. I got so pissed. I was like "ya, you uploaded all these pictures to my desktop and now i'm deleting them, oh and I also just got done getting all of my work orders in order and on one sheet of paper so that i can come in tomorrow and be organized." I was thinking, Ok what time did you get here? 3:00pm. I was here at 8:30am. Where's Marcus? Oh, he's sick ... again. He also didn't bother calling you. He sent me a text message at 7:30 in the morning. This makes 5 or 6 days for him in a month and a half, not counting times he's left early. On top of that it was 6:15pm and i stayed to work over. We usually get off at 5:00pm. Man, i've done got upset again.

Ok, on a lighter note, we got practice tonight and i'll probably go home and after that and smoke something. I meant to bring a stick to work, or my pipe, and relax for a bit. I could really use it.
