    In a smaller humidor, not necessary. However, you might want to consider it for a coolidor (where there is a larger volume of air). Air circulation can be helpful, especially for mold issues I'm told.

    I put an "Oust" fan in mine - you can pick them up for around $5 or so at the grocery store, and they come with a D sized battery. (Oust fans are in the air freshener section - just make sure to dispose of the air freshener cartridge before you use it). They turn themselves on and off automatically and accomplish the job...

    As far as the "sprinkler" system - humidity is rarely an issue in a coolidor if it's properly sealed. You just stick a bag of beads, or (in my case) a block of floral foam soaked in distilled water. Use one of the disposable tupperware containers and cut holes in the lid (or wrap it in an old nylon stocking).
