    Try putting the dry cigar in a ziplock baggie before putting it in your humidor, especially if it doesn't have celophane. This will allow it to adjust to the r/h at a slower(safer) rate.

    This is great information. My Grandfather gave me about 15 Royal Jamaican Tubos that had been resting (read: dying a painful death) in his sock drawer for a few months. I'm going play MD and slowly attempt to nurture them back to health. I'll let you know the results.

    Oh, are Royal Jamaican Tubos worth the recovery effort?
