    Default ARGH!! Canada Post AGAIN!!!

Well, my mother knew I wanted an LCD monitor for Christmas, so she let me pick it out. I waited until a boxing day sale and bought one online for a decent price. They also had 2 packs of SD 1gb memory cards for sale for cheap so I bought one as well.

Because I was flying back to school after New Years, I chose to have the items shipped to my home in Calgary. The website said they would be delivered on Jan. 4.

I got home in Calgary the afternoon of Jan. 7th. The memory cards were sitting outside of my door...nice. Lucky they are still there. I check my mailbox expecting a slip saying I had another package received...but nothing. I check online and confirm that the monitor was shipped...and that it was not on backorder or anything. Everything looked fine. Then I checked the tracking numbers. Here they are: Memory cards tracking. The memory cards show as being correctly delivered which they were. Now look at the tracking number for the monitor: LCD monitor tracking. No update since before New Years and estimated delivery date is still the 4th of Jan. Also...Missisauga, ON is around 2000 miles from Calgary.

I called Future Shop, and for some reason they couldn't give me any details because it was paid for with my mother's credit card...even though it was shipped to my name and address...I wonder what they would do if I just said I was her ...but anyways that was a dead end.

I called Canada Post and big suprise. They told me it was "in transit", yet could not tell me where exactly it was...somewhere between Missisauga and Calgary lol.

Anyways...still pisses me off...especially when this order was supposed to be coming UPS...

    I feel for ya bro!!!

I read all the complaints about UPS and USPS on different boards and I think "You guys don't know how good you got it!!"

Of course, we never hear complaints about FedEx, right?? (I wonder if that was wasted, or if he'll really read it??)

I have had some problems lately with Canada Post too. I sent a package of cigars and other stuff to a friend in the States. I sent it on Dec. 19 and he still hasnt gotten it. I have to wait till Jan. 19 to file a claim with Canada Post. Im glad I have insurance on it. I have shipped packages before without incident though.

My Newbie Trade took 40 days to complete. 13 days for him to get the M/O, and 27 days for me to get the package.

Dealing with the Canada Post has taught me a whole new level of patience, and I've also found a number of USPS locations in Detroit, which I visit almost every week now.
