Default A whole lot of suck!

This morning I get a call from CINCHOME (Commander In Chief-Home), aka Wife for you none military types, and she tells me that I need to contact base housing.

I enter base housing to be informed that we are moving to another house. The one that we live in was built in the 1950's and is slotted to be torn down later in the year. They are moving everyone in the housing area I live in and started with the worse house on the block...I was #1 on the list.

Now, what's ironic is most of you remember when I moved here to San Antonio in Aug '05, and now they are moving me again, although the good thing is they are moving us to a really nice house that is only 3 years old.

However moving is a pain. Oh, and the really good news is, I have to get out of my house and moved into the other one in 3 weeks!! Good thing the military is paying someone to do this. Even though I'm only moving 3000 yards from my current house, this is still going to be a whole lot of suck!

Oh, and to top that, I still need to study for my promotion test.

So, if you don't see me online to much, you know why.

And, if some how you were to be able to get my current address, obviously it won't be any good soon.

Well good luck on the tests. I know moving is a HUGE pain in the ass, but sounds like you're trading up, so that's better.

we got enough people on CS that live in Texas, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help unpack. Just think, in a month you're gonna be sitting back in your new house and think ... "wow, it's been exactly one month."

The movers will be here tomorrow so I have to disconnect everything tonight. Unfortunately, our internet will not be transfered to the new house until Saturday.

I'll see you all, after I disconnect everything tonight, on Saturday.

All our stuff is in the new house. We still have to clean the old house and get it ready for an inspection. Sadly, this afternoon our dog ran away and we haven't found her.

The internet will not be connected until Saturday...so incase you are wondering how I'm online?

Wow... sorry to hear about the dog.... maybe she has met up with a decent family who is just letting her stay with them..... kids must be devasted
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

Later that nite after I posted my bud called and after I told him my dog ran away he went and checked the old house. Sitting on the porch was our mutt. She's home now. Tomorrow we'll have the final inspection and hopefully after that's done I can finally concentrate on this house. We got our internet up this afternoon.

Glad to be back online. However, right now, watching the SB!

If they are going to tear it down, why do you need to clean it and they need to inspect the old house? Oh. I forgot this is the military we're talking about.

Well today I got my final-final inspection. The inspector was happy and I finally have just one house under my name. YEAH! To celebrate, I'm smoking a nice LGC Series R. One of my go to smokes.

The really good news is my in laws are coming to visit in about 2 weeks and my current house is still mostly in boxes!! This is going to be fun!

Same thing happened to us in Camp Pendleton three summers ago. My unit was getting ready to go to Iraq, and were staying in some barracks that were getting completely renovated. However, when we moved out, of course the rooms had to be spotless for the first sergeant, even though everything was getting torn out of them the next day. Definitely don't miss that stuff. The Marine Corps is not for the thinking man.
