    Unhappy Moronic Disaster!

Well, I feel like a complete idiot.

So Friday morning I get up VERY hungover with very little sleep and get ready to head up for a 4 day winter camping trip with some buddies of mine. One of whom crashed at our place and we ended up in my garage cigar loft at 4am smoking, playing chess and drinking. As I am packing to get going (we ended up running late of course) the doorbell rings and a newbie sampler package arrives from TheNakedGun. (Thanks Russell, see: http://www.cigarsmokers.com/showthre...647#post77647).

Not wanting the sticks to dry out any more, I run downstairs like a kid at Christmas, rip open the package, ooh and aah and then open one of my humidors and put the sticks in. During this I had to take out the top tray full of sticks and set it to the side. Well, I just got back from my trip, went downstairs and realised I had forgotten to put the tray back in my hungover rush to get going. Humidity read 35% in the room. I think I'm going to cry.

Put em back in the Humi and forget about them for at least a week or 2. Dont worry, cigars are actually durable .All is not lost

ya, they should be fine. Just think of shipping, it takes 4-5 days at least, and they are out in the elements. Just let em recoop and they should be fine.

i would advice that you don't take them down in a submari.... oh wait, nevermind.

Yeah, I threw em back in immediately and plan to leave em there for a month or so. I'm just hoping none of them split or anything. Mostly I just feel like a tool for forgetting them out and having to go through this at all.

JCH: about 35 sticks or so.

Thanks for the support though guys I just needed to vent

Should be fine, they were probably dry boxed at least that long while shipping to the retailer.

At least they can be saved. That would be a horrible loss if they couldn't.

Like everybody else said, they should be fine...... I wouldn't worry about splitting. How did they look when you put them back. I would only wotrry about splitting if you introduced too much RH too quickly.

Keep an eye on the RH in the humidor. Don't let it get too low
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

They looked fine, wrappers were as would be expected a little on the dry side. Humidity inside would be around 60-65% (The hygrometer was on the tray so I am guesstimating based on bead colour). By evening the humidity was around 56 but the beads were fine so It hink it is going to slowly climb as it re-balances.
