Not as lame as the linked report that cigarette companies have upped the nicotine 10% or more in the last 6 years. Those jackasses have shot themselves in the foot on the health front and now us cigar smokers have to pay for it. Asshats.

Personally I think its great (for non smokers atleast). We've had that in effect in Ontario for a while now. Its nice to go into a bar and enjoy some drinks without choking on second hand smoke. I got no problem smoking my cigars outside..except its a bit rough in the winter.
Although both I and Pauline smoked, we used to always get a table in the non smoking section of a restaurant when we would go out to eat. I never smelled any cigarette smoke in the non smoking section. It wasn't broke, but Colorado decided to fix it anyway. Since the smoking ban was implemented in July a large number of mom and pop taverns and restaurants have gone out of business.
Any cafe, bar restaurant that lets me smoke a cigar while hanging out deserves my repeat business. There are quite a few here for being a outlandishly liberal town.
Smoking policies at private establishments should be just that, policies, not laws. Everyone has a choice as to which businesses to patronize.....consumers vote with their wallets, and that is all that is necessary. Any law thats purpose is to protect me from myself.....is idiotic, imho.
