    Default The Newbie Rash Spreads

    Hi everybody!
Another new user here, by the name of Alex (friends call me Axle.). I live in North San Diego County, and have only been smoking a couple months. I've been lurking for about a week and decided to join up to improve my cigar smoking experience.
So far my taste hasn't become too refined because most of the cigars I've tried have turned out to be useless--dumb shopper right here. I finally found a reputable tobacconist in my area and have tried a couple really killer cigars (in my uneducated opinion) and am starting to get a feel for what's out there.
The smokes I've enjoyed most thus far were a Perdomo Reserve Cameroon and an Ashton VSG. I got recommended a Macanudo Portofino by a less-than-reputable tobacconist and disliked it very much. I also tried a fuente that was too mild for my taste.
I'd like to learn more about the market so I can settle on a few types of cigars that are in my taste/price range. The ashton was beautiful, but way too pricey. Same with the Perdomo. The guy who sold me the ashton was shocked that I was actually buying it, and told me how much enjoyment I was going to get that evening!
Well anyway, there's the introduction. Hope to have a good time here.
Oh, BTW, I'm another of the younger crowd...20y/o.

Welcome to smokers. You'll find a wealth of knowledgable fellas here, I'm not one, and they will be willing to help you out so stick around.

You'll hear it said frequently here "friends don't let friends smoke Macanoodles." I just got rid of the last one in my humi, had a bunch from a thompson deal, avoid that as well. Anyway the VSG is a great smoke so you are definitely on your way.

Welcome from The Great White North, now with "Kung-Fu" action snow!

Ashton VSGs are a great smoke, my favourite is the Enchantment.

    welcome.

I'd recommend the newbie sampler and possibly buying some other samplers from stores online... having your favorites be the expensive stuff will be a hole in your pocket quick.

The first two cigars that I found I liked cost 12 & 15 each (overpriced at local b&m)...

Welcome. And, as derivation said, try the newbie sampler. It is the way to go to get a good samping of cigars to try. Also a great way to start building your reputation here.

Welcome from the Great State of Texas!! If you want strong cigars that won't break the bank, try some Camachos.
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.
