The best case for why any of the "soccer mom" variety of drivers, male or female, young or old, should all be banned from the roads is an instance in central illinois this past year. A cyclist on the far right shoulder of a road was riding, clearly visible, and a teenage girl downloading a ringtone to her phone went from the left lane, through the right lane, to the right hand side of cyclist (who was on the far right of the shoulder) and then hit and killed him. The ADA didn't even go for involuntary manslaughter, just a couple of minor violations that resulted in like a 6 month license suspension or probation.
