Good luck with the project, let me know how it turns out. I only meant you should choose what you like. (I am interested though in the turn out and the products used, because I may be interested in doing something simmillar).

As long as you've stripped all the finish off, you may want to see what you can do about milling off those hard to see sights and installing some night sights. Shouldn't be harder than having a gunsmith mill a dovetail notch into it. Also, check out http://makarov.com/ for a stronger firing pin, new springs, etc.

I was looking into the competition firing pins, these guns are notorious for breaking firing pins. I also like the walnut grips.

I am extremely jealous. Being an avid gun enthusiast, I have been eying the CZ pistols for a little while. Unfortunately, I cannot go out and purchase a pistol for a few years until I am 21. My first rifle was a CZ 527 Carbine, and I am IN LOVE with it. Good luck with your project.
