Now I keep 25 cigars in two of my desktoppers. That way the humidity is easier to keep up in those and I hardly ever pop the lid on my coolidor.
Pop the lid about once every 4-6 weeks just to exchange the air. The cooler is much more air tight than a cabinet and some people feel ammonia and other gasses will tend to build up, especially from young cigars. I don't know if it's true, or if it is to what extent, but it can't hurt.
