I bought a cheap Compaq with widescreen a while back for around $550(after rebates) shipped with xp pro. Wouldn't buy another. The 1st & the replacement hard drives make clicking sounds. My cheap Dell at work has performed very well. It was part of digitizer package we got about 18 months ago and it is in a pretty unfriendly environment. Of course I,ve seen many a Dell desktop go bye bye. Probably would not buy either again.
